Ameer Delivers Keynote at 11th IBTN Research Symposium

Professor Guillermo Ameer served as a keynote speaker at the 11th IBTN Research Symposium at Chicago, opening the event's second day with his talk "Regenerative Biomaterials and Medical Devices for Reconstructive Surgery".   Highlighting the impact of biodegradable materials in restoring patient tissue and organ function, Prof. Ameer discussed his own work in developing citrate-based biomaterials adaptable to an increasing range of musculoskeletal surgical applications.

Themed on "What's New and Exciting in Biomedical Research?", the event featured 18 speakers, with sessions focusing on biomaterials for implants, regenerative medicine, nanotechnology, and research practice.  Hosted by the Institute of Bio Materials, Tribocorrosion, and Nano-Regenerative Medicine (IBTN), the conference took place on May 19th and 20th on the University of Illinois at Chicago's campus.
