RE-Practice School Partner Dimension Inx Completes Series A Round
Dimension Inx, one of CARE's Regenerative Engineering Practice School partners, recently announced that it has raised $12 million as part of a Series A funding round. The biomaterials platform company recently had its CMFlex biomaterials platform approved by the FDA, and the new round of investment is slated to support the commercial launch of the platform. Per Dimension Inx's press release, "CMFlex is the first 3D-printed regenerative bone graft product cleared by the FDA. As a ready-to-use flexible ceramic for oral and maxillo-facial indications, CMFlex improves clinician workflow and reduces surgical case time." The development and commercialization of CMFlex provides a prime example of the opportunities afforded through the RE-Training Program, as trainees completing their Regenerative Engineering Practice School internships there are uniquely positioned to explore the process of bringing cutting-edge regenerative products to market. Both CEO Caralynn Nowinski Collens and co-founder Ramille Shah have also spoken at RE-Training Program seminars and symposia. Interested students can learn more about the RE-Training program here.
